- • As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Neara, you will serve as the technical expert for strategic enterprise customers, combining software development and technical consulting to design and build custom solutions on the Neara platform that unlock new capabilities and drive business value for utility clients managing critical power grid infrastructure.
- • You will actively use the Neara SDK and APIs to develop custom features in TypeScript/JavaScript, build visualizations and data analysis tools, create tailored UI elements, and integrate the platform with external enterprise systems while working directly with customer engineers and stakeholders.
- • You will lead training sessions on the Neara SDK and best practices, translate business needs into technical designs, and collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for solution expansion that support account growth and customer success.
- • You will work within a mission-driven team of engineers and innovators using AI and machine learning to create physics-enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, helping utilities stress-test infrastructure against extreme weather and build a more resilient global energy future.
- • You will gain deep expertise in enterprise SaaS implementation, technical architecture, and customer-facing solution design while contributing directly to product evolution by feeding real-world feedback into the platform’s roadmap.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Forward-Deployed Engineer building and delivering custom technical solutions for enterprise-level SaaS, preferably with direct customer or consulting experience.
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Python, along with experience using modern development tools including Git, Node, npm, and command-line interfaces.
- • Proven ability to rapidly learn and apply proprietary SDKs and RESTful APIs (OpenAPI Specification) to build integrated, robust solutions.
- • Skilled in data analysis, integration, and building custom tools such as macros or data pipelines to deliver measurable customer value.
- • Exceptional communication skills to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives.
