- • As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Neara, you will serve as the technical expert for strategic enterprise customers, blending hands-on software development with technical consulting to design and build custom solutions on the Neara platform that extend its functionality and unlock new capabilities for power grid resilience.
- • You will actively use the Neara SDK and platform APIs to develop custom features in TypeScript/JavaScript, build visualizations and data analysis tools, create tailored UI elements, and integrate with external enterprise systems while working directly with customer engineers and stakeholders.
- • You will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating business needs into technical designs, leading training workshops on the SDK and APIs, and collaborating with internal teams to identify opportunities for account growth through custom solutions.
- • You will join a mission-driven team of engineers and scientists using AI and physics-based digital twins to simulate extreme weather impacts on power grids across four continents, helping utilities prevent disasters and build a more resilient energy future.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in enterprise SaaS implementation, technical architecture, and customer-facing innovation, positioning you as a leader in bridging software engineering with strategic technical consulting for critical infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Forward-Deployed Engineer building and delivering custom technical solutions for enterprise-level SaaS, preferably with direct customer or consulting experience.
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Python, along with fluency in modern development tools including Git, Node, npm, and command-line interfaces.
- • Proven ability to rapidly learn and apply proprietary SDKs and RESTful APIs (OpenAPI-compliant) to build robust, integrated solutions.
- • Skilled in data analysis, integration, and building custom tools such as macros or data pipelines to maximize customer value.
- • Exceptional communication skills to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, driving alignment and consensus.
