Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end customer relationship as the primary point of contact, building trust across all organizational levels and candidly communicating tradeoffs on AI-powered solutions.
  • • Translate ambiguous business goals — such as automating medical coding, improving customer service, or building data connectors from API docs — into crisp problem statements, user journeys, and measurable success metrics in collaboration with clients.
  • • Define product requirements, PRDs, and evaluation criteria for AI systems, turning messy, unstructured needs into clear technical specifications for engineering teams.
  • • Drive execution across multiple AI product initiatives simultaneously, managing planning cycles, daily check-ins, risk tracking, and cross-functional coordination between customers, engineers, designers, and internal Fractional teams.
  • • Act as a forward-deployed operator by jumping into gaps — writing SQL queries, drafting support playbooks, or leading last-minute executive demos — to ensure projects stay on track and deliver real business impact.
  • • Engage in early-stage, vague client conversations to help founders and sales teams uncover real pain points, sketch solution approaches in real time, and identify expansion opportunities beyond initial scope.
  • • Lead adoption and change management efforts by working directly with client teams on rollout, training, and enablement to ensure AI systems are actively used and integrated into workflows.
  • • Bring clarity and judgment during ambiguity, reframing problems, holding the line on quality, and articulating clear plans when requirements shift or stakeholders are misaligned.
  • • Ship two to three AI-powered products per year in a fast-paced environment, with high autonomy but tight timelines, learning from dozens of other projects and contributing to Fractional’s evolving product playbooks.
  • • Work at the frontier of LLMs and AI tooling, experimenting with cutting-edge models and workflows, and overusing AI in your own processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • • Maintain a bias for action and ownership, rolling up your sleeves to solve problems directly rather than delegating, whether that means debugging a data pipeline or drafting a client-facing presentation.
  • • Thrive in high-intensity, ambiguous environments where projects are often "we haven’t done this before," requiring rapid learning, juggling multiple clients, and making decisions with incomplete information.
  • • Bring structured problem-solving skills to transform whiteboard discussions with executives into clear, actionable engineering documents without losing strategic context.
  • • Contribute to company culture by embodying values of overdelivering, overusing AI, and over-engineering the team experience — prioritizing what makes Fractional a better place for its people.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4–8 years of experience in product management, consulting, or implementations with customer-facing, high-stakes projects involving ambiguous goals and misaligned stakeholders.
  • • Proven track record of building and shipping products with engineers and designers across multiple cycles, including running execution rhythms like stand-ups, planning, and retros without process theater.
  • • Strong structured problem-solving and communication skills: ability to turn chaos into clear plans, from executive-level whiteboarding to detailed engineering documentation.
  • • Bias for action and ownership: willingness to do whatever it takes — from writing SQL to leading demos — to unblock progress and deliver results.
  • • Comfort with ambiguity and intensity: ability to manage multiple clients, prioritize under uncertainty, and thrive in fast-paced, "first-of-its-kind" AI projects.
  • • Curiosity about AI and willingness to learn quickly; no deep AI expertise required on day one, but must actively experiment with AI tools in your own workflow.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive Compensation Package aligned with experience and skills.
  • • 401k with company matching.
  • • Unlimited PTO.
  • • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage.
  • • Health FSA for out-of-pocket medical expenses.
  • • Commuter Benefits.
  • • Life Insurance.
  • • Regular Team Events and Activities.
