Foundation Engineer (Golang) - Auth

📋 Description

• • As a Foundation Engineer (Golang) focused on Auth at Supabase, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of one of the company’s most widely used products—the authentication system—used by hundreds of thousands of developers worldwide.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include owning the Auth server’s reliability across infrastructure, planning and executing safe database migrations on large fleets of Postgres instances, building observability through metrics, tracing, and alerting, collaborating on deployment pipelines and AWS resource management, contributing to architectural evolution for long-term maintainability, writing and reviewing RFCs, and ensuring seamless developer experiences across the platform.
• • You will join a fully remote, open-source-first company with over 280 team members across 55+ countries, backed by $500M in funding and serving a vibrant community of 500,000+ developers. Supabase builds in public and values operational excellence, transparency, and collaboration.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Go-based backend systems, large-scale Postgres operations, cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes/AWS), observability systems, and secure, scalable authentication architecture—while contributing to high-impact open-source projects used globally.
