We are on a mission to make secondhand the first choice by building the essential infrastructure for the secondhand clothing trade. Our innovative B2B marketplace and AI systems, particularly our FleekSort AI model, are transforming the opaque and manual process of grading, pricing, and categorizing fashion items into a structured, searchable, and tradable global inventory layer. Since 2022, we've achieved significant impact, saving 9 million items from landfill and tripling our size year-on-year. • As a Founders Associate - People, you will be instrumental in shaping the operational backbone of our vibrant London office. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of everything that makes our 20-person London team (part of a 100-person global company) thrive. You won't be following a pre-written script; instead, you will be building systems from the ground up, setting new standards, and driving key initiatives that impact our people and our business.
• Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our fast-growing London team has everything they need to perform at their best. This is a hands-on role that demands proactivity, a problem-solving mindset, and a genuine desire to build and improve. You will be the go-to person for a wide array of critical functions, bridging the gap between people operations, business operations, and office management.
• In People Operations, you will manage the day-to-day HR operations, leveraging Deel to handle onboarding new hires, managing employment contracts, processing payroll changes, and maintaining accurate employee records. A key part of this will be automating our HR processes to create a seamless, scalable system that requires minimal manual intervention. You will be responsible for designing and implementing an automated workflow from the moment a contract is signed through to the end of an employee's first month, ensuring every new Fleeker experiences a smooth and welcoming onboarding journey.
• Beyond day-to-day HR, you will tackle a broad spectrum of high-impact operational challenges. Supported by our Founders, Head of Talent, and AI Leader, you will identify, analyze, and solve complex operational problems. This requires a strategic yet practical approach, where you'll be encouraged to experiment and learn on the job. Your ability to connect disparate pieces and create efficient processes will be crucial.
• Office Operations will also fall under your purview. This includes planning and executing engaging team events, offsites, and All Hands meetings that foster connection and collaboration. You will manage all vendor relationships, service contracts, and negotiations with our facility landlord, ensuring our Shoreditch office is not only presentable and functional but also a truly inspiring and productive place to work. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining a positive and dynamic office environment that reflects Fleek's culture.
• We are looking for an individual who is passionate about building scalable systems and fostering a positive employee experience. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can shift rapidly. 🎯 Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in People Operations or a similar HR/Operations role, with hands-on experience managing payroll, ideally within Deel or Remote.
• London-based with the ability and willingness to be in the office 3-4 days per week, acting as a cultural cornerstone.
• A proactive, self-starter attitude with a proven ability to identify needs and take initiative without constant direction.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment where priorities can change quickly.
• An AI and automation-minded individual, eager to experiment with and implement AI tools to improve operational efficiency.
