📋 Description

• As the Founding CTO of Lavendo Inc., you will serve as a co-founder and the first technical leader, owning the full technical vision and execution of an AI-powered legal tech platform designed to modernize family law practice.
• Day to day, you will write and ship production code, define end-to-end architecture, scale AI agent infrastructure for legal workflows (including document automation, financial disclosures, and client collaboration), and build the engineering team from scratch through hiring, mentoring, and culture creation.
• You will join an early-stage, San Francisco-based AI startup founded in 2025 that is already working with real customers, closing a seed round with $XM signed to date, and recognized by TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield and Stanford CodeX FutureLaw.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to define the technical foundation of a category-creating company, gain deep ownership over product and strategy, and directly impact the mission of reducing the emotional and financial burden of divorce for millions of families through AI-driven legal services.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3–5+ years in technical leadership
• Deeply hands-on — you still write and ship production code regularly
• Proven experience building AI-native, workflow-heavy, or document-centric SaaS products
• Proficiency with modern AI/ML stacks: LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI/Claude APIs)
• Strong backend and cloud infrastructure expertise (GCP/AWS, Python, Node.js, Kubernetes)
• Experience building engineering teams in a 0→1 environment
