📋 Description
- • As the Founding Longevity MD at Anomaly Health, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of proactive, physician-guided health optimization. This is a unique opportunity to be the first clinical hire and the foundational medical leader within a fast-paced, innovative virtual concierge longevity clinic. You will not merely advise; you will be the clinical architect, establishing the highest standards for all aspects of our medical operations.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to co-develop and own the comprehensive clinical protocol framework. This includes defining the essential biomarker panels for thorough health assessments, designing evidence-based care pathways that guide members toward their health goals, and identifying key optimization areas that leverage cutting-edge longevity science. You will have the autonomy to shape these critical components from the ground up, ensuring they are both scientifically rigorous and scalable.
- • A significant part of your role will involve direct member engagement. You will conduct member-facing clinical sessions, including initial consultations to understand individual health aspirations and concerns, detailed reviews of complex lab results, and ongoing optimization check-ins to monitor progress and adjust strategies. This direct interaction will provide invaluable insights for refining our clinical offerings.
- • You will play a crucial role in integrating AI into our clinical workflows. This involves reviewing and signing off on AI-generated health reports, ensuring that all member-facing content is clinically accurate, safe, and defensible. You will maintain ultimate clinical accountability for these outputs, balancing the potential of AI with the necessity of human medical expertise.
- • Building and enforcing robust clinical safety, consent, and escalation frameworks will be paramount. You will establish clear protocols for patient safety, ensure informed consent processes are thorough and transparent, and develop effective escalation pathways for managing complex or high-risk member situations.
- • As the medical expert, you will serve as the primary reviewer for edge cases, interpreting abnormal findings, and providing specialized guidance for high-risk members. Your deep understanding of longevity biomarkers and clinical nuances will be critical in these situations.
- • As the clinical team grows, you will be responsible for hiring and managing contracted physicians and Nurse Practitioners. This includes setting performance standards, providing clinical mentorship, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care across the team.
- • You will represent Anomaly Health externally, acting as a credible medical voice in discussions and collaborations. Furthermore, you will contribute significantly to product strategy, ensuring that our technological advancements and member experience are firmly grounded in sound clinical evidence and best practices.
- • This role demands a physician who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and a builder's mindset. You should be excited by the potential of AI in medicine but maintain a healthy skepticism, rigorously evaluating evidence and avoiding hype. Your relentless pursuit of accuracy and clinical integrity will be the bedrock of Anomaly Health's reputation.
- • You will work closely with the founder and CEO, Ramin Sahebjavaher, PhD, who brings a strong background in building health tech companies and a deep understanding of preventive imaging and longevity. This partnership will be key to translating scientific innovation into a scalable, impactful clinical service.
- • The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating the complexities of a startup environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and driven to create systems and processes where none currently exist. Your ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and communicate complex medical information clearly will be essential for success.
- • Ultimately, you will define what physician leadership looks like in an AI-native health company, setting a precedent for clinical excellence and innovation that will guide Anomaly Health's growth and impact on member health outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • MD with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty. A fellowship in Functional, Preventive, or Longevity Medicine is strongly preferred.
- • Deep fluency and practical experience with a wide range of longevity biomarkers, including advanced lipids, metabolomics, hormonal panels, inflammatory markers, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and genomics.
- • Prior experience working within a startup environment, a digital health company, or a concierge/direct-care medical practice, demonstrating an understanding of the unique demands and pace of these settings.
- • Comfort and familiarity with AI-assisted clinical tools, coupled with a clear-eyed, evidence-based perspective on their capabilities and limitations.
- • A strong entrepreneurial mindset, characterized by the ability to identify gaps in systems or processes and proactively build solutions to address them.
