📋 Description
- • As the Founding Recruiter at Vega Claims, you will design and build the talent acquisition function from the ground up, playing a critical role in shaping the company’s culture, product, and growth trajectory by hiring the team that builds Vega’s AI-native claims platform.
- • You will own the full-cycle recruiting process across engineering, product, and go-to-market functions, including proactive sourcing, end-to-end candidate management, hiring manager partnership, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Vega’s values.
- • You will partner directly with the CEO and founding leadership to define hiring strategy, set talent benchmarks, advise on compensation and org design, and scale the recruiting function through playbooks, workflows, and documentation for long-term success.
- • In this high-leverage, zero-to-one role, you will have the opportunity to influence Vega’s trajectory by attracting top talent in a fast-moving, high-talent-density environment, while developing expertise in startup recruiting, talent strategy, and building scalable HR functions in an early-stage, VC-backed company.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- • At least 2 years of experience at an early-stage company (Series A–C) where you built or influenced recruiting processes
- • Proven ability to run tight recruiting processes, create urgency, and win competitive offers based on mission and culture
- • High bar operator mindset with uncompromising focus on quality, even in fast-moving environments
- • Startup grit: thrives in ambiguity, operates with owner mentality, and effective without relying on a large team
- • Must be based in New York, NY, and willing to work in person as part of an in-person team culture
