📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end financial planning & analysis cycle for a fast-growing, fully-remote digital bank serving 180+ teammates across 40 countries. You will translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that steer strategic decisions at the highest level.
• • Build and maintain dynamic 3-statement operating models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in Excel and Google Sheets that scale with Xapo’s multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional operations. Your models will be the single source of truth for scenario planning, fundraising, and board reporting.
• • Partner directly with Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Engineering leaders to create driver-based forecasts for revenue (transaction fees, FX spreads, membership subscriptions), cost of goods sold (payment processing, card scheme fees), and operating expenses (people, cloud infrastructure, regulatory licenses).
• • Design and automate KPI dashboards in Looker or Tableau that surface daily, weekly, and monthly insights on customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, churn, take rate, and runway. You will empower every team to self-serve data and make faster, evidence-backed decisions.
• • Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly re-forecasts, and long-range strategic plan (3–5 year horizon). You will coordinate 30+ budget owners, set clear deadlines, and facilitate virtual workshops that turn high-level goals into detailed departmental budgets.
• • Conduct deep-dive variance analyses that explain “why” results deviated from plan. You will present findings in concise slide decks to the Executive Committee, translating technical detail into compelling narratives that influence resource allocation and product roadmaps.
• • Evaluate new market expansion opportunities—crypto custody, lending, wealth management—by building bottom-up TAM/SAM/SOM models, pricing scenarios, and sensitivity analyses that quantify risk-adjusted returns and regulatory capital requirements.
• • Support fundraising and investor relations by preparing data rooms, updating valuation models, and crafting Q&A briefs that anticipate due-diligence questions. Your work will directly impact Xapo’s ability to secure equity or debt financing on favorable terms.
• • Drive continuous process improvement: eliminate manual spreadsheet work through scripting (Python, Apps Script), integrate ERP and data-warehouse feeds, and implement rolling forecasts that shorten the planning cycle from weeks to days.
• • Champion a culture of financial discipline across a distributed workforce. You will create easy-to-follow templates, run virtual training sessions, and set up Slack channels where budget owners can ask questions and share best practices in real time.
• • Monitor liquidity and foreign-exchange exposure across USD, EUR, GBP, and BTC balances. You will model cash-flow gaps, recommend hedging strategies, and ensure the bank maintains adequate regulatory capital buffers in every jurisdiction.
• • Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to stress-test capital adequacy under adverse macroeconomic scenarios (crypto volatility, interest-rate shocks). Your insights will feed directly into ICAAP and ILAAP submissions to regulators in Gibraltar, the UK, and emerging markets.
• • Mentor junior analysts and interns by providing code reviews, model walkthroughs, and career-path guidance. You will help build a world-class FP&A function that attracts top talent from fintech, banking, and consulting backgrounds.
• • Stay ahead of industry trends—DeFi yields, stablecoin adoption, Basel IV—by attending virtual conferences, publishing internal briefs, and piloting new metrics that keep Xapo at the forefront of digital banking innovation.
