We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic FP&A Director to spearhead our financial planning, reporting, and operational finance functions. This critical role will be instrumental in driving financial discipline, enhancing performance visibility, and establishing scalable planning processes within our dynamic, mission-driven healthcare ecosystem.
  • • Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the FP&A Director will act as a key financial advisor and strategic partner to our executive leadership team. You will be responsible for owning and refining the company’s comprehensive financial model, overseeing the annual budgeting process, managing dynamic forecasting, and developing robust long-range strategic plans.
  • • This role demands a proactive approach to partnering with cross-functional teams, including our growth, clinical operations, and revenue departments. Your insights will be crucial in optimizing performance across our Care and Cures service lines, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • • The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the healthcare services or digital health sectors, coupled with exceptional financial modeling capabilities. You must be adept at translating intricate financial data into clear, actionable strategic insights that guide business direction and resource allocation.

  • • Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the company's integrated financial model, ensuring its accuracy and adaptability to evolving business needs and market dynamics.
  • • You will lead the annual budgeting cycle, collaborating with department heads to establish realistic yet ambitious financial targets and resource plans.
  • • Implement and manage rolling forecasts, providing timely updates on financial performance against budget and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • • Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for executive leadership and the Board of Directors, highlighting key trends, variances, and actionable recommendations.
  • • Conduct in-depth variance analysis, investigating deviations from budget and forecast, and providing root cause assessments.
  • • Develop and track key operational and financial metrics to monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • • Support strategic initiatives, including new market entry, product development, and partnership evaluations, by providing rigorous financial analysis and modeling.
  • • Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial close processes and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • • Contribute to fundraising efforts by preparing financial projections, investor presentations, and due diligence materials.
  • • Continuously evaluate and improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • • Provide financial guidance and support to operational leaders, empowering them to manage their budgets effectively and make data-driven decisions.
  • • Analyze pricing strategies, reimbursement models, and payer dynamics to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • • Develop scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess the financial impact of various business assumptions and market conditions.
  • • Foster a culture of financial accountability and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • • This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping Synapticure's financial future and contributing to our mission of transforming care for neurodegenerative diseases.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with a significant portion in a leadership or management role.
  • • Proven track record of building and managing complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in a high-growth environment.
  • • Strong understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and accounting principles.
  • • Experience within the healthcare services, digital health, or a related high-growth SaaS industry is highly preferred.
  • • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, macros) and financial modeling techniques.
  • • Experience with FP&A software (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Planful) and ERP systems is a plus.
  • • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
