📋 Description
- • Embark on a transformative journey as an FP&A Manager (AI-Native Finance) for a pioneering European deep-tech company at the forefront of cloud computing and artificial intelligence. This is a unique opportunity to architect and build a cutting-edge, AI-augmented Financial Planning & Analysis function from its inception, driving strategic financial operations for a complex, multi-entity international organization. You will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of a company with diverse business models, encompassing SaaS, infrastructure, and asset-intensive operations, operating within the dynamic European deep-tech landscape.
- • As the FP&A Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), serving as a critical strategic business partner to senior leadership. Your primary mandate will be to design, implement, and own forward-looking financial planning and performance management frameworks meticulously tailored to the demands of a rapidly scaling deep-tech environment. This role is not for the faint of heart; it demands a proactive, hands-on approach and a proven ability to integrate AI into FP&A workflows. We are explicitly seeking an individual who thrives on leveraging AI for predictive forecasting, automated variance analysis, and sophisticated scenario modeling, moving beyond traditional spreadsheet-dependent processes.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass the complete spectrum of FP&A, starting with the foundational establishment of budgeting, rolling forecasts, and comprehensive performance management systems across all business units. You will be the architect of sophisticated, driver-based financial models, adept at conducting rigorous scenario analyses and developing robust decision-support frameworks that empower strategic choices. A key aspect of your role will involve leading insightful monthly performance reviews, where your ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable intelligence for executive leadership will be paramount.
- • You will play a pivotal role in supporting critical strategic decision-making processes, providing data-driven recommendations on pricing strategies, investment opportunities, capital expenditure (capex) planning, and overarching growth initiatives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the implementation, scaling, and ongoing optimization of essential FP&A tooling. This includes leveraging platforms such as NetSuite Planning, Adaptive, Planful, or similar advanced solutions to enhance efficiency and analytical capabilities. A significant focus will be placed on driving the adoption and integration of AI technologies within the FP&A function, ensuring that predictive forecasting, automated variance analysis, and dynamic scenario modeling become standard operating procedures.
- • Collaboration will be key to your success. You will work in close partnership with the Group Financial Controller to ensure seamless reconciliation of actual financial performance against forecasts, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and consistency across the organization. Your contributions will extend to producing high-quality board and investor materials, with a distinct emphasis on forward-looking analysis and strategic insights that inform external stakeholders. Ultimately, you will serve as a trusted and indispensable finance partner to senior leaders operating across multiple geographies and diverse business models, fostering strong relationships built on analytical rigor and strategic acumen.
- • This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to be at the vanguard of financial innovation within a rapidly growing European AI and cloud deep-tech company. You will have the autonomy to design and scale an AI-native FP&A organization from the ground up, directly influencing the company's strategic direction and financial trajectory. The position provides significant ownership, strategic influence, and direct exposure to the CFO, the executive leadership team, and investors, all within a fully remote EMEA setup with minimal travel requirements (approximately 10–15%).
