- • Are you a seasoned technology visionary with a proven track record of steering complex systems through critical growth phases and regulatory landscapes? 10Xteam Inc. is seeking exceptional Fractional Chief Technology Officers to join our elite network of senior technical leaders. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your extensive experience at the executive level, driving technical strategy and architectural decisions for a diverse range of innovative companies across Europe (EU & UK).
- • As a Fractional CTO with 10Xteam, you will operate at the forefront of technological advancement, tackling high-stakes challenges that demand strategic foresight and deep technical acumen. Your role transcends day-to-day project management or routine architecture reviews; instead, you will be instrumental in shaping the long-term technical direction of organizations, ensuring their systems are not only scalable and resilient but also compliant with stringent European regulations.
- • Your mission will involve leading critical technical initiatives, including architecting distributed systems, making pivotal build vs. buy trade-offs, guiding platform rewrites, responding to security incidents, and resolving complex scaling bottlenecks. A core aspect of your responsibility will be to ensure the feasibility of technical strategies, maintain a high level of resilience awareness, and conduct clear assessments of risk exposure across various client engagements.
- • You will be a trusted advisor, navigating multifaceted contexts such as multi-cloud strategies, addressing cloud sovereignty requirements, managing data residency constraints, and identifying and bridging DevOps maturity gaps. Your expertise will be crucial in pinpointing unrealistic scaling assumptions, uncovering overlooked failure modes, and highlighting hidden operational fragilities that could impede growth or compromise security.
- • A significant part of your contribution will be ensuring that technical strategies are meticulously aligned with current and upcoming European regulations. This includes a deep understanding of GDPR, the EU AI Act, NIS2 directive, DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act), and the evolving landscape of European cloud sovereignty considerations. Your guidance will help clients build robust, compliant, and future-proof technology infrastructures.
- • Collaboration is key, and you will work effectively in an asynchronous environment, coordinating seamlessly with the 10Xteam coordination team and client stakeholders. This remote-first approach demands excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, regardless of time zones.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 10 years in senior technical leadership roles, with demonstrable experience in scaling complex or regulated systems.
- • Strong expertise in at least one of the following core areas: architecture, cloud infrastructure (multi-cloud, hybrid), cybersecurity, DevOps, or AI infrastructure.
- • Proven ability to quickly identify second-order system risks, understand complex interdependencies, and assess potential failure modes.
- • Experience operating at an executive or strategic advisory level, capable of communicating technical strategy to non-technical stakeholders.
- • Familiarity with European technology regulations such as GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and an understanding of cloud sovereignty and data residency requirements.
- • Excellent asynchronous communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
