Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Review and assess existing codebases, often built by non-technical founders using AI tools, to identify bugs, structural flaws, and technical risks
- • Refactor and stabilize applications to make them production-ready, focusing on reliability, performance, and maintainability rather than new feature development
- • Fill critical gaps in core functionality including authentication, payment processing, and backend logic for early-stage products
- • Improve code structure and architecture to reduce technical debt and increase long-term scalability
- • Implement lightweight QA and testing practices where documentation or existing test coverage is absent or inadequate
- • Collaborate with engineers, QA teams, and project leads across multiple concurrent client projects
- • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and work across diverse tech stacks with minimal onboarding or context
- • Operate effectively in environments with incomplete or nonexistent documentation, relying on code analysis and practical problem-solving
- • Work within a fractional engagement model, delivering high-impact stabilization work on a flexible schedule of 10–40 hours per week
- • Engage in initial 4-week engagements that may extend into ongoing support across multiple client products
- • Focus on practical, solution-oriented outcomes rather than theoretical or idealized architectures
- • Maintain clear communication with non-technical stakeholders and technical teams to align stabilization efforts with business goals
- • Work remotely with teams across LATAM and Eastern Europe, coordinating across time zones and asynchronous workflows
- • Prioritize stability and robustness over speed of delivery, ensuring systems can withstand real-world usage
- • Apply expertise in modern web architectures to integrate and secure APIs, databases, and frontend-backend communication layers
- • Use judgment to determine when to rebuild versus when to patch or refactor existing AI-generated or founder-built code
- • Maintain consistent delivery across projects with varying levels of technical maturity and code quality
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of full stack experience
- • Strong experience working in messy or inherited codebases
- • Comfortable operating without full documentation
- • Proven ability to take products from MVP to stable, production-ready state
- • Practical, solution-oriented mindset
- • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fractional, hourly engagement with flexible hours (10–40 hrs/week)
- • Opportunity to work across multiple early-stage client projects
- • Remote work with flexibility across LATAM and Eastern Europe time zones
- • Direct impact on stabilizing and scaling products built with AI-generated code
