đź“‹ Description

  • • Fanvue is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fraud Investigator to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our platform, creators, and revenue. As we scale, the need to transition from a reactive approach to fraud prevention to a more proactive and sophisticated detection and prevention strategy is paramount. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, gain invaluable experience in fraud, risk, and trust & safety, and embark on a clear career growth path within a dynamic tech environment.
  • • In this critical role, you will be instrumental in identifying, investigating, and mitigating fraudulent activities across the Fanvue ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously examine user behavior and incoming fraud cases from various internal queues and cross-departmental referrals. This requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to process a high volume of investigations weekly while maintaining exceptional quality standards. You will develop a deep understanding of the nuances of online fraud, learning to spot subtle patterns, emerging trends, and sophisticated rings of fraudulent activity that could jeopardize our users and the platform's integrity.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve making clear, confident, and well-reasoned decisions on complex cases. You will need to be comfortable taking ownership of these decisions and standing by them, even under pressure. This responsibility extends to reviewing and quality-assuring the investigations conducted by your peers, providing constructive and actionable feedback to foster continuous improvement within the team. Your insights and findings will be crucial in shaping our fraud prevention strategies and enhancing our operational efficiency.
  • • Collaboration will be key to your success. You will work closely with various internal teams, including product, engineering, and customer support, to refine our fraud detection processes, improve escalation workflows, and contribute to the development of more robust anti-fraud measures. Your input will be vital in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance the overall security and trustworthiness of the Fanvue platform.
  • • Beyond individual investigations, you will actively contribute to strategic projects aimed at strengthening our fraud defenses. This may include participating in the testing of new fraud detection rules, meticulously documenting operational processes to ensure consistency and scalability, and assisting in the improvement and optimization of our fraud management tooling. Your efforts will directly support the team's strategic shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive threat identification and prevention, minimizing potential losses and protecting our community.
  • • We are looking for individuals who are naturally curious, possess an inquisitive mindset, and are driven to understand the underlying motivations behind fraudulent behavior. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, capable of working with speed and efficiency, and comfortable making critical decisions under time constraints. You should be self-motivated, able to maintain focus and consistency even when dealing with repetitive or high-volume tasks, and possess strong organizational skills. Experience in fast-paced environments with frequent decision-making or problem-solving, or roles requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, would be highly beneficial. This role is designed for someone who thrives on investigation, pattern recognition, and problem-solving, enjoys clear ownership and measurable outcomes, and is motivated by the prospect of protecting users and upholding platform integrity. If you are eager to develop core skills in risk management, fraud detection, and trust & safety within a rapidly expanding tech company, this is an exceptional opportunity to grow your career.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • • Comfortable making decisions under time pressure and taking accountability for outcomes.
  • • Ability to stay focused and motivated on repetitive or high-volume work, with a natural curiosity to understand underlying behaviors.
  • • Proven reliability, organization, and consistency in output.
  • • Experience in a fast-paced role requiring frequent decision-making or problem-solving (e.g., operations, customer service, supervisory roles), OR experience in a role involving repetitive work with a high bar for accuracy and attention to detail (e.g., legal, compliance, administrative work).

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Play a key role in protecting Fanvue's creators, users, and revenue.
  • • Learn core fraud, risk, and trust & safety skills in a fast-growing tech company.
  • • Competitive salary aligned to entry-level bands, location dependent.
  • • Unlimited holiday.
  • • Remote working.
  • • Flexible hours, according to when you perform best.
  • • Budget for growth and wellbeing.
