- • Enforce and defend intellectual property and trademark rights across digital assets including apps, websites, marketing funnels, creatives, product naming, and visual identity
- • Proactively monitor digital ecosystems to detect, document, and assess infringements, imitation patterns, and borderline competitive practices designed to exploit Ruby Labs’ brand equity
- • Lead end-to-end takedown processes, cease-and-desist actions, and platform-specific complaints targeting infringing content on app stores, hosting providers, and digital ad platforms with emphasis on speed and measurable outcomes
- • Develop and execute structured legal enforcement strategies that raise the operational and financial cost of non-compliance for bad-faith actors
- • Translate complex legal frameworks into actionable business strategies that materially restrict competitors’ ability to operate in overlapping market spaces
- • Collaborate with product, marketing, and executive leadership teams to embed IP protection into early-stage brand development, naming conventions, and product design
- • Continuously track emerging market risks and opportunities to identify new avenues for legal leverage and proactive brand protection
- • Manage external legal counsel when required while maintaining full strategic ownership and decision-making authority over enforcement actions
- • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infringement cases, legal positions, and enforcement outcomes to support internal reporting and future precedent building
- • Operate with high autonomy in fast-paced, dynamic environments, making independent judgments on risk assessment, enforcement prioritization, and tactical next steps
- • Ensure all enforcement activities comply with international legal standards and platform policies while navigating cross-border regulatory landscapes
- • Serve as the primary internal legal authority on IP strategy, advising stakeholders on the legal implications of marketing campaigns, product launches, and branding initiatives
- • Partner with cross-functional teams to align legal enforcement goals with business objectives, ensuring protection mechanisms enhance rather than hinder growth
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and professional discretion when handling sensitive intellectual property matters and competitive intelligence
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong background in intellectual property and trademark law, ideally within tech, digital products, mobile apps, or e-commerce
- • Proven experience in IP enforcement, takedowns, disputes, and cross-platform complaints (e.g., app stores, hosting providers, ad platforms)
- • Demonstrated ability to translate legal frameworks into practical business strategy
- • Tactical, resourceful mindset with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- • Comfortable operating autonomously in fast-moving environments
- • Excellent written and spoken English
