- • A Freelance Senior Product Designer will own the end-to-end design experience for Lottie’s Marketplace product, shaping how families search, compare, and find care for loved ones in a high-stakes, emotionally complex domain where design directly builds trust.
- • Day to day, the designer will partner with Product and Engineering leads from problem inception, shaping briefs, challenging assumptions, and contributing to the design system with scalable patterns and components while ensuring accessibility, information hierarchy, and emotional context are prioritized across search, results, listings, comparison, and enquiry flows.
- • Lottie is a London-based, mission-driven startup founded in 2021 that is transforming the UK care sector through technology, with over 10 million users, 1,000+ care homes on its platform, and backing from top-tier investors like Accel and General Catalyst.
- • In this 3-month hybrid contract role, the designer will make a meaningful impact quickly, sharpen product instincts, gain experience in AI-native prototyping, and contribute to a design system that scales across a growing product suite while working on problems that carry real human weight.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4-6+ years of product design experience, ideally across marketplace, platform, or strong B2C products
- • Portfolio showing both craft rigour and systemic thinking — visual language work alongside complex UX problem-solving
- • Confident product thinker who engages with problems before reaching for solutions and works closely with PMs from earliest stages
- • Comfortable using AI tooling to prototype and iterate faster without letting it replace design thinking or craft
- • Ability to present design decisions with clarity and rationale — what was considered, ruled out, and why
- • Care about the domain and take the emotional weight of care decisions seriously, even without prior background in care
