📋 Description

• French Language Specialist (Android Device) - Freelance AI Trainer Project: This role is critical to advancing the linguistic capabilities of next-generation AI models by providing expert French language input that improves model accuracy, cultural relevance, and reasoning in real-world language use.
• Your expertise will directly contribute to training AI systems that can democratize education, support cutting-edge research, and enhance communication for French speakers globally by identifying and correcting model failures in nuanced linguistic contexts.
• On a typical day, you will engage in interactive language scenarios with large language models, assessing their responses for grammatical correctness, semantic accuracy, logical coherence, and cultural appropriateness across formal/informal registers and dialectal variations.
• You will document reproducible error traces, analyze failure modes in areas such as orthography, syntax, morphology, pragmatics, and translation accuracy, and provide actionable feedback to refine prompt engineering and evaluation methodologies.
• You will collaborate remotely with AI training teams to suggest improvements in model training data and evaluation metrics, using your metacognitive ability to 'show your work' and justify linguistic judgments with clear, evidence-based reasoning.
• You will leverage your deep knowledge of French linguistics—including phonetics, semantics, and sociolinguistic variation—to challenge models on complex tasks involving ambiguity, register shifts, and context-dependent meaning.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in French language, linguistics, or a closely related field (ideal)
• Demonstrated expertise in French grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics
• Experience with linguistic analysis, translation, peer-reviewed publications, or hands-on language projects
• Access to a secure computer, Android device, and high-speed internet (contractor responsibility)
• Strong metacognitive communication skills—ability to clearly document and justify linguistic decisions
