📋 Description

• French Language Specialist – AI Trainer is a freelance role focused on improving large language models by providing expert linguistic feedback in French, directly contributing to the development of more accurate, culturally aware, and reasoning-capable AI systems that serve French-speaking communities worldwide.
• You will engage in daily interactions with advanced AI models, testing their understanding of complex French linguistic phenomena including verb conjugation, gender and number agreement, idiomatic expressions, phonetic subtleties, syntactic structures, and stylistic registers, while meticulously documenting errors and logical inconsistencies to guide model refinement.
• Your work will involve verifying factual accuracy and logical coherence in model outputs, designing and executing linguistic challenge scenarios, capturing reproducible failure modes, and proposing enhancements to prompt engineering strategies and evaluation frameworks to strengthen model robustness.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in French language, linguistics, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated expertise in French grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics
• Experience with linguistic analysis, peer-reviewed publications, teaching, or hands-on language projects
• Ability to communicate metacognitively—clearly ‘showing your work’ when identifying and explaining model errors
• Fluency in French at a near-native or native level, with sensitivity to regional and stylistic variation
• Reliable access to a secure computer and high-speed internet for remote contract work
