📋 Description

• • Architect and deliver the next-generation member portal for the world’s largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company, migrating a legacy stack into a modern React ecosystem that will be used by hundreds of thousands of developers across 185 countries.
• • Own the full frontend lifecycle—from pixel-perfect UI components to scalable state management—ensuring every interaction in the portal feels as fast and reliable as the 32 low-latency data centers powering Vultr’s global platform.
• • Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and DevOps to translate complex cloud workflows (Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, Cloud Storage) into intuitive, revenue-driving user experiences.
• • Establish and evangelize frontend best practices: component libraries, automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress), accessibility (WCAG 2.1), performance budgets, and CI/CD pipelines that keep deploy cycles under ten minutes.
• • Instrument user analytics and A/B experiments to measure feature impact, iterate rapidly, and directly influence conversion rates for both prospective and existing customers.
• • Champion responsive design and progressive enhancement so the portal works flawlessly on everything from a developer’s 4K monitor to a phone in a Nairobi café.
• • Contribute to open-source initiatives and internal design systems that accelerate feature delivery across multiple product squads while maintaining brand consistency.
• • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and lunch-and-learn sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety.
• • Partner with security and compliance teams to implement robust authentication flows, role-based access controls, and privacy controls that meet GDPR, CCPA, and SOC 2 standards.
• • Stay ahead of emerging web standards and browser capabilities—WebAssembly, ES2024, server-side rendering, edge functions—and evaluate their potential to give Vultr a competitive advantage.
• • Participate in quarterly planning, providing realistic estimates and risk assessments that help leadership balance innovation with reliability.
• • Celebrate wins and learn from failures in a blameless post-mortem culture that treats every incident as an opportunity to strengthen the platform and the team.
