📋 Description

• As a Frontend Engineer at Adaptive ML SAS, you will play a critical role in transforming cutting-edge reinforcement learning operations (RLOps) technology into intuitive, high-performance user-facing products that enable enterprises to deploy and scale specialized large language models (LLMs) with measurable business impact. Your work will directly contribute to making advanced generative AI accessible and actionable for customers like Manulife, AT&T, and Deloitte, bridging the gap between complex AI infrastructure and exceptional user experience.
• You will design, iterate, and implement the frontend of Adaptive ML’s products using TypeScript and React, ensuring exceptional performance, accessibility, and responsiveness. Your day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining a scalable design system and component library, creating interfaces that effectively surface real-time AI workloads such as streaming inference and live training feedback, establishing systematic frontend development processes to reduce uncertainty in execution, collaborating with backend engineers and technical staff to bring new features to life, contributing to the product roadmap by aligning commercial needs with technical capabilities, and communicating progress clearly through asynchronous written updates to a distributed team.
• You will join a tightly-knit, ambitious frontend team of two within Adaptive ML’s Product Team, working closely with backend engineers and technical staff who bring deep expertise from having previously contributed to state-of-the-art open-access large language models. Backed by a $20M seed round led by Index Ventures and ICONIQ in early 2024, the company is already live in production with enterprise customers across travel and financial services, operating at the forefront of task-specific LLM development and production-ready AI workflows that serve millions of requests while optimizing for cost and performance.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in modern frontend engineering at the intersection of AI and product design, mastering the challenges of building performant, accessible UIs for complex real-time systems. You will gain experience shaping product direction in a high-growth startup, influencing both technical and user experience decisions, and contributing to foundational technology that helps machines deliver more singular, personalized generative AI experiences — all while working in person from Adaptive ML’s Paris Office.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience in frontend or frontend-leaning full-stack software development
• Strong engineering skills with a focus on performance, accessibility, and UI robustness
• Proficiency in modern frontend tooling — React, TypeScript, and the broader ecosystem
• A track record of shipping ambitious, polished products under tight deadlines
• A deep concern for user experience, with an eye for detail at the intersection of design and engineering
• Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted programming tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) as part of an established personal workflow
