📋 Description

• As a Frontend Engineer at Sportygroup B.V., you will build mobile-first, responsive user interfaces that serve millions of daily users, directly impacting how customers interact with our sports betting and gaming platforms across the globe.
• Your work will ensure high-performance, accessible, and visually consistent experiences that align with our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and user-centric design in a remote-first environment.
• You will develop and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js, Vuex, Vue Router, Webpack, Less, SCSS, and TypeScript, translating UI/UX designs into functional, scalable code while adhering to architectural best practices.
• You will focus on optimizing performance and user experience by implementing efficient rendering strategies, minimizing bundle sizes, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility for global users.
• You will create frontend interfaces for internal backend management systems, enabling operational teams to monitor, configure, and support core product functionality effectively.
• You will actively participate in agile team ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, product demos, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement and transparent collaboration.
• You will engage in rigorous code reviews with peers and managers to maintain code quality, enforce consistency with resource libraries and architecture patterns, and share knowledge across the team.
• You will mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on frontend best practices, debugging techniques, and framework-specific patterns, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
• You will collaborate closely with backend engineers (Java/SpringBoot) to integrate APIs seamlessly, ensuring data flows efficiently between frontend and backend systems.
• You will contribute to a remote-first culture that values flexibility, autonomy, and sustainable work practices, with core collaboration hours set between 10am–3pm in your local time zone.
• You will have the opportunity to grow your expertise in modern frontend tooling, state management, and testing (Playwright), while working with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins) in a globally distributed team.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in frontend development or a closely related role
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one major frontend framework: Vue.js, React, or Angular
• Solid understanding of Git, ES6+, Webpack, Less or Sass, and Node.js for build and tooling workflows
• Experience with state management libraries such as Vuex, Redux, or NgRx
• Familiarity with backend technologies, particularly Java and SpringBoot, to enable effective full-stack collaboration
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in asynchronous and synchronous remote settings
