This involves rapidly experimenting with and launching new ideas across all user-facing surfaces, including onboarding flows, specialized verticals like 'Students,' and our premium 'Max Tier' offerings.
• • You will build AI-powered features such as personalized prompts that tailor search results to individual user needs, auto-generated study guides that enhance educational experiences, and contextual upsell nudges designed to drive user activation, retention, and revenue across all platforms.
• • Furthermore, you will own Perplexity's growth platform, encompassing our experimentation framework, feature flagging systems, and notification infrastructure. This empowers impactful feature development across the entire company, allowing engineers to have an outsized influence on product direction and business outcomes.
• • **Commerce Team Focus:** Alternatively, if you align with the Commerce team, you will own the entire commerce stack. This includes developing and scaling our payments infrastructure, building agentic commerce capabilities, and exploring emerging monetization opportunities.
• • You will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable systems for billing across consumer subscriptions, enterprise plans, API usage (Sonar), and premium features.
• • A key aspect of this role involves developing and maintaining secure, scalable systems, including agentic payments that autonomously interact with payment platforms, ensuring reliable and seamless financial transactions for millions of users worldwide.
