- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation for AI training datasets.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that simulate real-world software engineering scenarios.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications and expected outputs.
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, logical inconsistencies, and potential failure modes in code submissions and task designs.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, and intended behavioral outcomes in all generated materials.
- • Work within large, complex, multi-file codebases to evaluate and construct realistic software engineering challenges.
- • Participate in code reviews and contribute to refactoring and production migration scenarios as part of task creation.
- • Operate as a project-based consultant with full autonomy over schedule and work pace.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks that accurately reflect industry-standard software development practices.
- • Generate structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to improve the quality and realism of AI training data.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English for all documentation, specifications, and feedback communications.
- • Utilize Python and JavaScript/TypeScript as primary languages; apply working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go where relevant to task design.
- • Work remotely with no fixed hours, providing own tools and infrastructure for all project deliverables.
- • Simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations.
- • Deliver complete and correct reference implementations with robust test coverage and validation artifacts for each assigned task.
- • Contribute to the creation of evaluation benchmarks used by a leading AI Lab to train and assess generative AI models on software engineering tasks.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
