- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation for AI training datasets.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately reflect real-world software engineering scenarios.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specified requirements.
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes in code submissions to ensure robustness and reliability of training data.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs across all evaluated projects.
- • Work within production-grade codebases, navigating large, complex multi-file systems to create authentic engineering challenges.
- • Participate in code reviews and refactoring exercises to improve code quality and maintainability of training task artifacts.
- • Perform production migrations and debugging tasks that mirror real software development workflows.
- • Operate as a remote, project-based consultant with full autonomy over schedule and workflow.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks that directly contribute to training and evaluating AI models.
- • Generate structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to improve the quality and consistency of AI training datasets.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and evaluations.
- • Use Python and JavaScript/TypeScript as primary languages; apply working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go where relevant to task design.
- • Provide own tools, infrastructure, and development environment; no company equipment is provided.
- • Accept payment on a per-project basis, with rates estimated based on anticipated completion time.
- • May concurrently provide services to other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements comply with their respective policies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
