- • Build, maintain, and scale internal-facing web tools that support machine learning workflows as part of the ML Tooling team.
- • Develop full-stack solutions using React with TypeScript on the frontend and Node.js or Python for backend web services.
- • Design and implement RESTful APIs with a strong understanding of API architecture and data flow between systems.
- • Interact with multiple data stores, including relational databases, and write efficient SQL queries to support tooling functionality.
- • Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them remotely via Helm to Kubernetes clusters.
- • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliability and uptime of internal ML tooling systems.
- • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team standards.
- • Collaborate closely with data science, engineering, and operations teams to understand requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.
- • Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on frontend improvements, authentication enhancements, and tooling roadmap development.
- • Gain operational ownership over deployed applications, including monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization.
- • Support ML and data science workflows during the first 30 days through bug fixes and feature development.
- • Expand technical contributions by the 60-day mark through involvement in strategic projects and increased on-call responsibilities.
- • Achieve full integration into the ML Tooling team by day 90, independently owning tooling initiatives and deployment processes.
- • Continuously grow understanding of software engineering fundamentals and expand role scope through ownership and initiative.
- • Maintain compliance with FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy requirements, including passing a fingerprint-based background check.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proficient in TypeScript (Node.js) or Python for building web services
- • Experienced with a modern frontend framework, specifically React with TypeScript
- • Skilled in SQL and comfortable working with relational databases
- • Familiar with Docker and deploying applications via Helm to Kubernetes
- • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
- • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and code reviews
