📋 Description
- • As the Fusion Island Power Cycle Lead – Reactor, you will lead the design and development of the Fusion Island power cycle, including the cooling system, thermodynamic cycle, and primary heat exchanger, ensuring safe, efficient, and integrated solutions across the reactor plant.
- • You will have end-to-end accountability for the power cycle design from concept through detailed design, licensing, construction, and commissioning, while resolving complex, cross-cutting technical issues that cannot be resolved at the engineer or discipline level.
- • You will lead a multidisciplinary team, write key engineering deliverables such as system design descriptions and safety analysis inputs, and manage design change control processes to maintain schedule and cost discipline.
- • You will report design status, risks, and issues regularly to the Fusion Island Group Leader and contribute to building clarity and structure in a fast-growing deep-tech environment focused on commercializing laser-driven nuclear fusion.
🎯 Requirements
- • M. Sc. in nuclear engineering or aerospace engineering
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years leading multidisciplinary technical teams
- • Advanced experience in CFD and deep knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermal-hydraulics, thermodynamic cycles, and safety analysis principles
