📋 Description

• As the General Counsel at Quartermaster AI, you will serve as the primary legal authority responsible for safeguarding the company’s legal, regulatory, and contractual integrity while enabling strategic growth in the defense and AI sectors. Your leadership will directly impact the company’s ability to innovate, secure government contracts, and scale operations with confidence in complex legal landscapes.
• Day-to-day, you will oversee all legal, regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance functions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners; advising on U.S. government contracting requirements such as FAR, DFARS, and ITAR; managing export control and security compliance programs; leading legal due diligence for investor financing, strategic partnerships, and M&A transactions; protecting and managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio; and providing proactive legal counsel to executive leadership and cross-functional teams in Business Development, HR, Operations, and Engineering.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a state bar.
• 10+ years of legal experience, with a demonstrated mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience, preferably in technology, defense, or government contracting sectors.
• Deep expertise in U.S. government contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS), export control laws (ITAR, EAR), and national security compliance frameworks.
