- • As the General Counsel at Super.com, you will be instrumental in shaping and safeguarding the legal landscape of a rapidly expanding Travel and Fintech enterprise. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to lead the Legal function, reporting directly to the CEO, and to make a significant impact across all facets of our business. You will not only provide strategic legal counsel but also build and mentor a high-performing team of legal professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and proactive problem-solving.
- • You will serve as a key member of the Super.com Leadership Team, offering expert advice on a broad spectrum of legal matters crucial to a fast-growing Travel and Fintech company. This includes, but is not limited to, general corporate law, robust corporate governance, intricate commercial contracts, critical data privacy and security protocols, intellectual property protection, employment law nuances, and comprehensive litigation and risk management strategies.
- • A significant part of your role will involve the strategic development and scaling of our internal legal function. You will be responsible for creating a clear roadmap for team growth, implementing efficient systems, and refining processes to ensure we can operate with both speed and precision, even as we scale.
- • You will be deeply involved in managing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts that are vital to our operations. This includes identifying opportunities to enhance existing contract forms, streamline negotiation processes, and implement best-in-class systems for contract lifecycle management.
- • Providing ongoing, expert counsel and guidance on a diverse array of legal matters will be a daily responsibility. This requires a proactive approach to identifying potential legal challenges and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- • You will be responsible for the selection, retention, and management of relationships with outside counsel, ensuring we leverage external expertise effectively and cost-efficiently.
- • A crucial aspect of this role involves educating and empowering our internal teams. You will prepare and deliver impactful training sessions and presentations to employees, management, executives, and the Board of Directors on various legal and compliance topics, ensuring a strong understanding and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- • You will build, mentor, manage, and scale the legal teams reporting to you. This includes fostering professional development, setting clear performance expectations, and cultivating a collaborative and supportive team environment.

🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of practicing law, with a blend of experience from a national law firm (preferably Am Law 200) and in-house roles within the technology industry.
- • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution and admission to practice law in California or New York.
- • Proven experience in building and leading legal teams within high-growth environments, with a strong track record of positive outcomes for managed team members.
- • Advanced knowledge of trademark and copyright law, advertising regulations, and data privacy and use issues.
- • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, provide practical advice with incomplete information, and break down complex issues into logical progressions.
