- • The German Payroll Lead at Strada, Inc. is responsible for supporting country-specific payroll operations by applying functional and technical expertise to ensure operational teams meet client deadlines and maintain compliance.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting managers with client engagement, ensuring accurate and timely information; supporting the sales process to validate service scope feasibility; providing guidance on implementations and go-lives while ensuring automation and standards are used; leading projects to improve customer satisfaction and business performance; delivering daily functional support for successful payroll delivery; maintaining the Country Solution workbook; managing the legislation roadmap and upskilling teams on upcoming changes; resolving technical and functional issues escalated from teams; collaborating with Operational Management, Transformation, and Products to implement automation, innovation, and continuous improvement; ensuring Year-End deadlines are met; proactively identifying upsell opportunities; supporting management in resolving client escalations and capturing lessons learned; upskilling and developing team members through training and coaching; adhering to Alight Security Standards; handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately; completing time recording accurately and on time; contributing to team meetings and raising issues promptly; staying updated with Alight announcements and communications; building relationships across lines of business; and participating in assigned projects.
- • The role reports to a Delivery Senior Manager (Job Level 5) and has no direct reports. It is a Job Level 4 – Delivery, Lead Specialist position within a global, fast-paced environment focused on payroll delivery excellence.
- • The individual will deepen expertise in German payroll legislation, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration while gaining experience in project leadership, change management, and client relationship management within a growing international organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong knowledge of payroll inputs and outputs including third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits, and other key integrated areas
- • Ability to identify and mitigate risks in payroll operations
- • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- • Flexibility to thrive in a global, fast-paced work environment
- • Excellent attention to detail
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- • Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and work independently while following processes
- • BA/BS in a business-related field (Accounting, HR, Business Administration) or equivalent education and experience
- • 5–8 years of relevant payroll administration experience in HR consulting, HR Outsourcing, or corporate environments
- • Expert knowledge of payroll processes, practices, and associated legislation
