Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • • As the Global Leave Partner at Deel, you will be instrumental in managing and administering our comprehensive team member leave of absence programs across a diverse, multi-country landscape. This pivotal role ensures strict adherence to local, regional, and global regulations, safeguarding both the company and our valued team members. You will serve as the primary operational support for an array of leave types, including but not limited to medical, parental, personal, and statutory leaves, acting as a crucial liaison between team members, managers, and key internal departments such as HR, Payroll, and Legal.
  • • Your core responsibility will involve the meticulous administration of global leave of absence programs. This includes ensuring full compliance with a complex web of local laws and regulations, such as the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and numerous country-specific mandates. You will be the go-to expert, providing clear guidance and support to navigate these intricate requirements.
  • • You will be the central point of contact for all leave-related inquiries, processes, and return-to-work coordination. This involves proactively engaging with team members and their managers to provide timely information, manage expectations, and facilitate a smooth transition back to work after a leave.
  • • The role demands hands-on management of the entire leave lifecycle, from initial request and approval to extensions and the coordination of necessary accommodations. You will leverage Deel's internal HR systems and potentially third-party vendor platforms to track, manage, and document all leave activities with precision.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will be close collaboration with our Payroll and Benefits teams. You will ensure the accurate processing of pay, seamless continuation of benefits, and correct handling of deductions for team members on leave, maintaining their financial and health security.
  • • Maintaining comprehensive, confidential, and up-to-date records of all team member leave cases is paramount. This includes detailed documentation, case notes, and supporting evidence, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy standards.
  • • You will proactively monitor the global regulatory landscape for any changes related to leave policies and laws. Your insights will be critical in adapting internal policies and practices to remain compliant and best-in-class.
  • • In partnership with our Legal counsel, you will assess and advise on complex or escalated leave cases, including those involving disability accommodations, ensuring a fair and legally sound approach.
  • • A key function will be supporting and driving communication and education initiatives. You will help to enhance the understanding and awareness of global leave policies among both team members and managers, fostering a supportive and informed environment.
  • • You will be responsible for preparing and delivering regular, insightful reports on leave activity, identifying key trends, and tracking compliance metrics. This data will inform strategic decisions and process improvements.
  • • Finally, you will play an active role in identifying opportunities for process improvements. Your recommendations will aim to enhance the overall leave administration experience for our global workforce, making it more efficient, user-friendly, and supportive.
  • • This role is an individual contributor position, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Global Benefits, and offers a unique opportunity to shape and refine Deel's global leave strategy.
