  • • Amgen is seeking a visionary Global Marketing Director to spearhead a critical marketing transformation within its Amgen Brand Management (ABM) division. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned marketing leader passionate about developing talent and elevating marketing capabilities on a global scale. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of marketing at Amgen, ensuring our brand strategies are robust, our teams are highly skilled, and our impact on patients is maximized.
  • • At the core of this position is the development and execution of Amgen's Marketing Talent Strategy. This involves a comprehensive approach to nurturing both existing and future marketing professionals. You will be responsible for the evolution and oversight of the Amgen Brand Management Development Program (ABMDP), a key initiative for cultivating aspiring marketing leaders. Furthermore, you will drive the enhancement of the ABM Marketing Competency Model, ensuring it remains current and relevant to industry best practices. The role also encompasses the development and implementation of a Technical Ladder for marketing professionals, providing clear career progression paths. You will also refine and manage Hiring Tools, including Talent Profiles and Hiring Support mechanisms, to attract and onboard top-tier marketing talent. A significant aspect of this strategy will be the Talent Recruitment and Acquisition strategy for marketing, ensuring Amgen remains competitive in attracting the best minds in the industry.
  • • Another key focus area is the creation and management of the ABM Learning Ecosystem. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive and multi-modal learning experience for marketing professionals across Amgen. You will curate and manage a diverse range of training programs, including live workshops, self-study modules, and advanced external learning opportunities. A critical component of this will be the management of regional trainers, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery of training content. You will also lead the development and execution of the New Hire training and programming, ensuring a smooth and effective onboarding process for all new marketing team members. This learning ecosystem will be brought to life through the Amgen Brand Management University, a central hub for marketing excellence and continuous learning.
  • • In this role, you will collaborate extensively with global and local brand teams, fostering strong partnerships and driving alignment on marketing strategies and talent development initiatives. You will also engage with external thought leaders and partners to bring best-in-class practices and innovative approaches to Amgen's marketing efforts. This position reports directly to the Head of Marketing Excellence and will lead a dedicated team of approximately four individuals, guiding them to achieve ambitious goals.
  • • Key responsibilities include leading the development and execution of the Amgen Brand Management learning ecosystem, encompassing the curation and management of multi-modal training, the oversight of regional trainers, and the coordination of designated marketing experts to contribute to learning content and delivery. You will be responsible for the successful launch and ongoing management of the New Hire Onboarding training program, ensuring a robust and engaging experience for new team members. Furthermore, you will manage and build out the cross-channel elements of the learning experience on the Amgen Brand Management University platform, including the Marketing Excellence SharePoint site and Learning Hub.
  • • You will also lead the execution of the Amgen Brand Management Development Program, designed to nurture and advance aspiring marketing leaders within the organization. This includes driving the execution of longer-term prioritized talent initiatives, such as the Technical Ladder, refining Hiring Tools (Talent Profiles, Hiring Support), developing comprehensive Career Pathways, and shaping the overall Talent Recruitment/Acquisition strategy for marketing. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring Amgen's marketing function is equipped with the talent and capabilities needed to drive future success and continue its mission of serving patients.
