- • **Lead Global Media Strategy & Planning Excellence:** Drive the strategic direction and execution of media plans for a major FMCG/CPG client across the EMEA region and globally. This role is pivotal in reshaping how the client approaches media, moving beyond autopilot purchases to create impactful, innovative campaigns that capture consumer attention in a crowded marketplace.
- • **Strategic Vision & Creative Integration:** You will be the architect of compelling media strategies, blending data-driven insights with creative flair. Your ability to think laterally and champion innovative media opportunities, born from a deep understanding of the brand's goals, will be crucial. You'll play an active role in creative conversations with both clients and creative agencies, ensuring media is not an afterthought but an integral part of the campaign narrative.
- • **Develop & Implement Planning Frameworks:** Create and refine the planning framework that guides media teams, both within PHD and at the local/hub agency level. This framework will ensure consistency, excellence, and effectiveness in the development of tactical media plans that align with overarching brand objectives and KPIs.
- • **Drive Full-Funnel Media Effectiveness:** Ensure media plans are designed to connect with consumers across the entire purchase journey, from initial brand awareness through to conversion on eCommerce sites. You will be instrumental in demonstrating the value of media investment and its direct contribution to business growth.
- • **Collaborate with Global & Local Stakeholders:** Work closely with a diverse range of internal and external partners, including global clients on a weekly basis, the creative agency of record (co-located), strategy directors, business directors, regional and market media teams, and the eCommerce specialty division. Your ability to manage complex relationships and foster collaboration across different time zones (London, Thailand, Colombia, Chicago) is essential.
- • **Champion Innovation & Award-Winning Work:** Actively seek out and champion creative and innovative media placements that align with brand strategy. You will be motivated to create work that has the potential to win industry awards, identifying briefs with award-winning potential and guiding their development.
- • **Develop & Mentor Talent:** While not having direct reports, you will significantly influence the strategic and planning skill development of team members through mentorship and guidance. You'll help nurture talent within the agency, fostering a culture of continuous learning and strategic thinking.
- • **Presentation & Persuasion:** Craft compelling presentation materials that effectively communicate media strategies, gain sign-off for plans and research projects, and build client trust through insightful Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively is key.
- • **Problem-Solving & Solution-Oriented Approach:** Possess a strong bias towards identifying solutions rather than dwelling on problems. You will navigate challenges with resourcefulness, ensuring that innovative ideas are not only conceived but also successfully implemented through collaboration with internal teams and media partners.
- • **Global & Local Balance:** Dedicate approximately 70% of your time to global responsibilities, overseeing the strategic direction for the client's international business. The remaining 30% will focus on specific regional or market-level initiatives, providing hands-on support and driving local execution.
- • **Impact Beyond Assignments:** Contribute to the broader success of the agency by participating in new business pitches, sharing best practices, and championing new ways of working across the organization. Your influence will extend beyond your immediate client assignments.
