  • • Join Flexport, a rapidly growing company revolutionizing global trade, as a Global Operations Associate in Warsaw, Poland. This pivotal role is instrumental in expanding our European operations and ensuring seamless global commerce for our clients.
  • • As a key member of the European Operations team, you will be at the forefront of managing and executing end-to-end shipment movements within a regional network. Your primary focus will be on driving operational excellence, ensuring on-time performance, and delivering a world-class customer experience.
  • • You will spend the initial 4-6 months embedded in our DACH HQ in Hamburg, Germany. This immersive period is designed to equip you with a deep understanding of Flexport's operating processes, systems, and software, providing a strong foundation for your responsibilities in Poland.
  • • The Operations team is the engine that makes Flexport's mission of making global trade easy a reality. You will be integral to delighting our customers, managing our network of partners, and collaborating with our technology team to drive innovation through process automation.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the company's growth by managing and executing logistics services and products for our diverse clientele.
  • • You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of multimodal supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods across various transportation modes.
  • • A core aspect of your role will be to uphold the highest standards of Flexport quality, ensuring shipments are executed on time and that any exceptions are managed proactively and effectively.
  • • You will provide crucial support to your team in handling mid-to-high level escalations, complex shipment movements, delicate client communications, and other critical tactical touchpoints.
  • • Beyond direct operational execution, you will assist your manager in guiding the team towards improved performance, focusing on data quality and the timeliness of shipment milestones.
  • • You will be responsible for ensuring your work consistently meets internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), demonstrating a commitment to quality delivery.
  • • Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential, and you will actively contribute to building scalable operational infrastructure and refining procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity for our customers.
  • • You will be empowered to identify opportunities for process improvement and take initiative to implement these enhancements, driving continuous evolution within the operations team.
  • • You will personally embody Flexport's value proposition by leading the business implementation and shipment execution for new clients and strategic opportunities, acting as a brand ambassador.
  • • This role requires you to act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external escalations, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to resolve client issues swiftly and ensure smooth operations.
  • • You will be expected to escalate issues as needed, always acting in the best interest of the company by minimizing financial leakages and maintaining a cost-conscious approach to operations.
  • • Your team will work collaboratively to seamlessly coordinate daily logistics operations with a wide array of internal and external partners, including steamship lines, intermodal and drayage vendors, customs brokers, trade lane management teams, warehousing providers, and trucking companies.
  • • You will execute the complete lifecycle of freight shipments within your designated regional network, encompassing both import and export movements, including complex intermodal transfers.
  • • In regions where applicable, you will assist in managing shipments handled by partners, supporting the drive towards greater partner autonomy and efficiency.
  • • This position is ideal for an individual with a robust problem-solving mindset, a deep-seated customer obsession, and a strong operational understanding of the Polish freight market, who is eager to embrace challenges and contribute to a dynamic industry.
