We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Talent Development Manager to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role will partner closely with the Director of Talent to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of impactful global learning and development programs. You will be instrumental in cultivating a culture of continuous growth, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a more inclusive workplace across our international operations.
- • As the Global Talent Development Manager, you will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of our learning initiatives. This includes conducting thorough needs assessments, leveraging data and survey insights to identify key development areas, and translating these findings into actionable, scalable, and measurable solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in designing programs that not only address immediate skill gaps but also contribute to long-term talent strategy, including robust succession planning and the development of effective leadership capabilities.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves instructional design. You will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning content, methodologies, and materials that cater to a diverse global audience. This could range from developing leadership training modules and manager effectiveness workshops to creating resources that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the organization. Your ability to craft compelling learning experiences, whether through in-person workshops, virtual sessions, or e-learning modules, will be paramount.
- • Facilitation is another core component of this position. You will have the opportunity to deliver training sessions, lead workshops, and guide discussions for various employee levels, particularly focusing on managers and emerging leaders. Your facilitation skills should inspire participation, encourage critical thinking, and ensure that learning objectives are met effectively, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.

This involves meticulous planning, resource allocation, stakeholder management, and tracking the progress and impact of programs. You will work collaboratively with HR business partners, department heads, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and successful adoption of learning programs.
- • You will lead a small, dedicated team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and ensure the team's collective success in delivering high-quality talent development solutions. This leadership component requires strong people management skills, the ability to delegate effectively, and a commitment to building a high-performing team.
- • A key responsibility will be to drive measurable improvements in manager effectiveness and employee engagement. By analyzing performance data, employee feedback, and engagement survey results, you will design interventions and programs that directly address identified challenges and opportunities. The goal is to create a tangible impact on individual and team performance, employee satisfaction, and overall organizational health.
- • Furthermore, you will play a critical role in strengthening inclusion across the organization. This involves developing and implementing programs that promote understanding, awareness, and adoption of inclusive behaviors and practices. You will work to ensure that our talent development efforts actively contribute to building a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and has an equal opportunity to succeed.
- • This role requires a strategic mindset, with the ability to connect talent development initiatives to ProtoLabs' broader business goals and vision. You will contribute to shaping the future of talent at ProtoLabs by identifying emerging trends in learning and development and recommending innovative approaches to keep our organization competitive and our employees engaged and skilled.
- • You will be responsible for managing the budget for talent development programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing the return on investment for all learning initiatives. This includes vendor selection and management where external resources are utilized.
- • Collaboration is key. You will work closely with the Director of Talent, HR Business Partners, and leaders across the globe to ensure seamless integration of talent development strategies into the overall HR and business operations. Your ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels will be vital for success.
