📋 Description

• • The Global Trade Leader is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing Barry-Wehmiller’s international trade strategy, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and optimizing cross-border supply chain operations to enhance profitability and market reach.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing customs compliance across U.S. and international locations, troubleshooting import/export issues, designing global brokerage and logistics partner programs, providing compliance guidance to internal stakeholders, and interfacing with freight forwarders, government agencies, and external partners on trade regulations.
• • Barry-Wehmiller is a $3 billion diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology for packaging, corrugating, sheeting, and paper-converting industries, employing nearly 12,000 team members committed to using business as a force for good through people-centric leadership and purpose-driven growth.
• • In this role, the individual will develop KPIs to drive process improvement, lead automation and data analytics initiatives, implement tariff mitigation strategies (including duty drawback and free trade agreement utilization), manage compliance across key trade lanes (US-China, US-Mexico, US-India, intra-Europe), and maintain denied party screening and sanctions compliance programs aligned with OFAC, BIS, and other regulatory bodies.
