- • Build and scale a global vendor operating model for OpenAI’s Ads business, designing systems that support outsourced sales across multiple regions and partner sites.
- • Own end-to-end performance management of external vendor partners, including governance structures, scorecards, forecasting processes, and inspection mechanisms to drive accountability.
- • Drive attainment of key business metrics including revenue, pipeline growth, advertiser acquisition, seller productivity, and sales quality across the global vendor ecosystem.
- • Lead executive-level business reviews and governance forums with external vendor leadership and internal stakeholders from Sales, RevOps, Finance, Enablement, and Product teams.
- • Develop and implement QA frameworks, sales playbooks, and operational best practices to improve sales quality and consistency across vendor teams.
- • Partner with Revenue Operations, Enablement, and Product teams to ensure vendor readiness for new product launches, sales motions, and market expansions.
- • Create and maintain workforce and capacity plans aligned to business demand forecasts, ensuring vendor teams are appropriately scaled to meet growth targets.
- • Leverage AI, automation, and scalable operating systems to enhance execution efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and seller productivity across the vendor network.
- • Identify systemic operational challenges within the vendor ecosystem and drive cross-functional solutions that improve business performance and reduce friction.
- • Establish clear accountability mechanisms and data-driven KPIs to monitor vendor performance and enable continuous improvement.
- • Collaborate with Finance to align vendor compensation models, cost structures, and budgeting with business outcomes and revenue goals.
- • Ensure operational excellence across all vendor interactions, maintaining high standards for compliance, data security, and confidentiality in alignment with OpenAI’s policies.
- • Act as the primary point of contact between OpenAI and external vendor leadership, fostering strong, results-oriented partnerships.
- • Translate business objectives into actionable operational plans that can be executed consistently across diverse global markets and time zones.
- • Monitor and report on vendor performance trends, surface risks proactively, and recommend strategic adjustments to sustain growth and scalability.
- • Contribute to the evolution of OpenAI’s AI-native approach to commercial operations by integrating automation and intelligent systems into vendor management workflows.
- • Support occasional international travel to meet with vendor partners, conduct site visits, and align on global strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience leading outsourced sales, vendor operations, or commercial operations organizations
- • Must have previous experience working in Ads in addition to high-growth environments like SaaS, software, marketplaces, or scaled revenue organizations
- • A track record of building operating models, governance mechanisms, and performance management systems from the ground up
- • Strong understanding of sales funnel metrics, forecasting, pipeline management, and operational excellence
- • The ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders through data-driven decision making, sound judgment, and executive communication
- • Experience identifying systemic operational challenges and driving cross-functional solutions that improve business performance
