📋 Description
- • As a Go Core Client Engineer at Tailscale, you will design, implement, and operate the Go-based shared client code that powers the product, enabling secure and seamless connectivity for users worldwide.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement core client subsystems including connection management, NAT traversal, encrypted transport, and client lifecycle; ship end-to-end features with observability; diagnose and resolve performance and reliability issues; collaborate with product and platform teams; and mentor fellow engineers while championing code quality and architectural excellence.
- • Tailscale is building the new Internet by making secure device interconnection simple and reliable, serving users from hobbyists to multinational corporations. Founded in 2019 and fully distributed, the company is backed by top-tier investors and operates with a remote-first culture focused on inclusivity, flexibility, and engineering excellence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Go and distributed systems, gain impact by improving the reliability and performance of a widely used networking product, grow as a technical leader through mentorship and architectural influence, and contribute to a mission-driven team redefining how people and devices connect securely.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong production experience writing and shipping Go code (experience with Go is required)
- • Experience operating large Go codebases and designing robust client or distributed systems
