📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of critical banking services that 600,000+ European SMEs rely on every day. You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain both new and existing applications written primarily in Go and Ruby, ensuring they remain resilient, scalable, and secure under 10× traffic spikes.
• • Shape the future of Europe’s leading finance workspace by co-architecting event-driven systems on AWS Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and ELK. You will participate in domain-driven design sessions, craft technical RFCs, and review them with 180 backend peers to guarantee that every line of code advances our mission of giving SMEs freedom to succeed.
• • Deliver polished user experiences by collaborating in 6-8-person cross-functional teams that include mobile (Kotlin/Swift), frontend (React.js), and product managers. You will slice epics into high-impact increments, ship daily, and measure success through customer-centric KPIs such as payment processing latency, API reliability, and user activation rates.
• • Champion code quality and operational excellence. You will write clean, well-documented Go services, enforce 80 %+ unit-test coverage, pair-review every PR, and maintain runbooks that allow on-call rotations to resolve incidents in <15 minutes. Your relentless focus on quality directly translates into the velocity our customers need.
• • Mentor and level-up engineers across five product domains—Customer Lifecycle, Business Account, Systems & Monetization, Financial Tools, and Regate by Qonto—by hosting architecture guilds, brown-bag sessions, and 1:1 coaching. Your technical leadership will help the department grow from 450 to 600+ engineers while keeping our culture of mastery and curiosity alive.
• • Innovate with autonomy using our lean Kaizen toolbox. Each quarter you will pick a personal OKR—whether it’s reducing p99 latency by 30 %, migrating a legacy Ruby monolith to micro-services, or introducing continuous profiling—and iterate through PDCA loops supported by Cursor/Copilot licenses and dedicated 10 % innovation time.
• • Influence product direction at the highest level. You will present technical trade-offs to C-level stakeholders, propose pricing experiments that could unlock €10 M in new revenue, and ensure compliance with PSD2, GDPR, and banking regulators so that every feature ships safely across Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Serbia.
• • Maintain a customer-first mindset by joining support rotations, reading NPS feedback daily, and translating pain points into backlog items. Your proximity to users guarantees that the APIs you build—whether for instant SEPA transfers, automated invoicing, or spend-management cards—truly make finance feel effortless for entrepreneurs.
