  • • Are you a seasoned recruiting professional with a passion for identifying and attracting top-tier sales talent? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and possess a deep understanding of sales methodologies? If so, Kong Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Go-To-Market Recruiter to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in scaling our EMEA sales organization.
  • • At Kong, we are on a mission to power the world's connections by building the essential infrastructure for the agentic era. Our unified API and AI platform, Kong Konnect, is trusted by leading organizations globally to secure, manage, accelerate, govern, and monetize the flow of intelligence. As we continue our rapid expansion, we are committed to building a world-class revenue engine, and that starts with attracting elite sales professionals who can drive our growth.
  • • This isn't just about filling open positions; it's about strategically identifying, engaging, and securing the best sales talent in the market. We operate with a rigorous, MEDDIC-driven approach to our sales process, and we expect the same level of strategic thinking and qualification in our hiring practices. As our Go-To-Market Recruiter, you will be a critical partner to our EMEA Sales Leaders, acting as a talent advisor who not only understands the nuances of sales but can also assess candidates' sales acumen, dig into their deal mechanics, and determine if they possess the DNA required to close significant deals in a competitive scale-up environment.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to own and execute the hiring strategy for our most critical revenue-generating roles, including Enterprise Account Executives, Commercial Account Executives, and Sales Leaders across the EMEA region. You will go beyond simply presenting resumes; you will conduct in-depth competency-based interviews, leveraging your expertise to ensure that every candidate we bring into the sales organization raises the bar for performance and professionalism.
  • • Key responsibilities in this role include:
  • • **MEDDIC-Driven Talent Assessment:** You will be instrumental in assessing candidates not just on their experience, but on their practical application of sales methodologies. This involves going beyond the surface-level resume to probe into their specific deal mechanics. For instance, you'll ask targeted questions like, "Who was the Economic Buyer in your biggest win?" or "What specific Metrics did you use to build the business case for that deal?" Your goal is to differentiate between sellers who have achieved success through luck versus those who employ a strategic, repeatable process. You will delve into their territory planning, forecasting accuracy, and overall sales process to identify candidates with a truly strategic approach.
  • • **Strategic Sourcing and Headhunting:** A significant part of your role will involve proactively building and nurturing a robust pipeline of top-tier sales talent. This includes identifying and engaging individuals who consistently achieve President's Club status or rank in the top 5% of their sales organizations. You will conduct thorough market mapping of competitor sales teams and execute targeted, creative headhunting campaigns to attract passive candidates. A key aspect of this will be effectively articulating and selling the Kong vision, our compelling equity story, and the unique value proposition of our product to individuals who may not be actively seeking new opportunities.
  • • **Stakeholder Partnership and Advisory:** You will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to our EMEA Sales Leadership. This involves collaborating closely with them to define precisely what "good looks like" for each specific sales role, considering regional nuances and industry verticals. You will provide real-time market intelligence to hiring managers, including insights on competitive salary bands, talent availability and density within specific markets, and competitor compensation strategies. Crucially, you will be empowered to challenge hiring managers when necessary, leveraging your expertise as the talent specialist to ensure we are making the best possible hiring decisions.
  • • **Operational Excellence and Process Optimization:** You will be responsible for driving a rigorous and efficient interview process that effectively balances the need for speed with the paramount importance of quality. This includes managing the candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to mentor other recruiters within the team, sharing your expertise on sales terminology, effective objection handling, and closing strategies specific to sales recruitment. You will also meticulously track key conversion metrics throughout the recruitment funnel, such as passthrough rates and offer acceptance rates, to identify areas for continuous optimization and improvement.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Kong's growth trajectory by building the sales team that drives our revenue. If you are a results-oriented, strategic recruiter with a passion for sales and a desire to contribute to a rapidly scaling technology company, we encourage you to apply.
