- • As a Golang Engineer for Gateways at Workato, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure that powers the company’s enterprise orchestration platform, enabling seamless connectivity between data, applications, and services for 400,000+ global customers.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement high-performance gateways and routing components, develop server-side logging and monitoring systems, collaborate with Infra and SRE teams to ensure scalability and reliability, and contribute across the full software development lifecycle with a focus on clean, testable, and efficient Go code.
- • You will join the Gateways team within Workato’s engineering organization, a company recognized as a leader in enterprise orchestration, trusted by Fortune 500s and fast-growing startups alike, and celebrated for its innovative culture, remote-work excellence, and rapid growth (ranked #1 for remote workers by Quartz, #17 in Bay Area Tech Fast 500, and featured in Forbes Cloud 100).
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and backend engineering while gaining ownership over core platform capabilities that directly impact customer uptime, performance, and scalability — positioning you as a key contributor to Workato’s mission of turning technological complexity into business opportunity.
🎯 Requirements
- • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- • 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering
- • Solid experience with Go at the backend (2+ years)
- • Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- • Understanding of core web application building blocks: databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, monitoring, etc.
- • Experience working with distributed systems
- • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
- • At least basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration
