📋 Description
- • Support financial data analysis for the Penn State IT Optimized Service Team (OST) initiative as a part-time Graduate Assistant.
- • Analyze financial and operational data related to University IT services, expenditures, and resource allocation.
- • Assist in collecting, validating, and reporting data for OST discovery workshops to inform service evaluations.
- • Develop actionable insights to guide the improvement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and IT service delivery.
- • Identify trends in IT spending and operational efficiency to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
- • Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for stakeholders across Penn State IT.
- • Collaborate with Penn State IT teams to support ongoing analytical efforts and strategic decision-making.
- • Contribute to a university-wide initiative focused on aligning IT investments with strategic priorities and enhancing cost effectiveness.
- • Work remotely up to 20 hours per week with a compensation rate of $20 per hour.
- • Engage in a high-impact enterprise project that bridges financial analysis, IT strategy, and organizational transformation within a complex academic environment.
- • Ensure all data analysis adheres to institutional standards for accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- • Participate in team meetings and workshops to communicate findings and support collaborative problem-solving.
- • Maintain strong attention to detail in data handling, reporting, and documentation to ensure reliability of insights.
- • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex financial datasets into clear, usable information for non-technical stakeholders.
🎯 Requirements
- • Current enrollment in a Penn State graduate program
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- • Experience with Excel and/or data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, R)
- • Ability to interpret and communicate data insights effectively
- • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
