- • Manage the financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple logistics accounts to ensure profitability, retention, and business growth.
- • Set goals, conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and administer disciplinary actions and Performance Improvement Plans for team members.
- • Develop and coach direct and indirect reports through HR skills training, selection of qualified personnel, and maintaining optimal staffing levels to minimize reliance on outside labor.
- • Create and maintain location processes and Standardized Customer Logistics Management (SCLM) systems, including cross-training of Customer Logistics Specialists (CLS) and Customer Logistics Coordinators (CLC).
- • Ensure customer satisfaction through problem resolution, KPI tracking, and ensuring all staff are trained in Transportation/Distribution Management.
- • Drive employee retention initiatives and reduce workplace accidents year-over-year by enforcing safety protocols and following up on Collision/Team Safety Reporting and First Report of Injury documentation.
- • Review and reduce unnecessary overtime, conduct self-audits of location processes, and assign accountability improvements to CLC/CLS staff.
- • Perform SOX-compliant invoice reconciliation and revenue recognition preparation for assigned accounts, including customer invoicing duties.
- • Demonstrate project management and facilitation skills to lead logistics initiatives and process improvements.
- • Maintain strong oral and written communication skills to build professional relationships across all organizational levels, including peers, customers, and supervisors.
- • Operate independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility, self-drive, and excellence under pressure.
- • Maintain high levels of organization, time management, and attention to detail with consistent follow-up practices.
- • Ensure compliance with Ryder’s core values: Trust, Innovation, Expertise, Collaboration, and Safety.
- • Utilize technology daily as an integral part of job functions, including RD2000, Ryder Financial Reporting systems (Walker), and Microsoft Office.
- • Represent Ryder as the management and professional face of the organization to clients and internal stakeholders.
- • Implement and lead logistics solutions in a LEAN work environment while managing multi-level teams and assuming Profit & Loss responsibility.
- • Manage customer KPIs and ensure alignment with service level agreements and operational benchmarks.
- • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence and business objectives.
