  • • As a foundational member of Column's nascent Growth team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategy for managing highly strategic customer relationships. This is a unique opportunity to build a critical function from the ground up within a company that is fundamentally transforming the financial services landscape.

  • • Your primary responsibility will be to act as a trusted partner, advisor, and advocate for a diverse portfolio of Column's customers. This involves deeply understanding their business objectives, challenges, and how they leverage Column's unique banking infrastructure to achieve their goals.
  • • You will be instrumental in designing and implementing the overarching strategy, robust processes, scalable playbooks, and essential content required to ensure the success and growth of our customer relationships. This includes establishing best practices for customer management that will set the standard for the team as it scales.
  • • Unlike traditional Customer Success or Account Management roles, the Growth team at Column operates at a higher level of strategic engagement. Column is an existential partner for many of our clients, meaning our relationships are deeply collaborative, complex, and each customer represents a significant contribution to our revenue. This necessitates a team that is highly analytical, possesses exceptional critical thinking skills, and has proven experience managing high-stakes, strategic relationships.
  • • This role is inherently cross-functional. You will collaborate extensively with Executive leadership, Solutions Engineering, Sales, Compliance, and Product teams. Your work will ensure seamless customer onboarding, proactive identification and resolution of challenges, and the capitalization on opportunities for expansion and deeper partnership.
  • • You will serve as the crucial voice of the customer within Column, channeling insights and feedback to inform our strategic direction. This includes influencing the product roadmap, refining go-to-market strategies, and identifying new opportunities for product development and service enhancement.
  • • A key aspect of this role is developing a profound expertise in the Financial Technology (FinTech) space and a deep understanding of how companies partner with Column. You will be working with industry leaders such as Brex and Carta, requiring you to become intimately familiar with their use cases and strategic objectives.
  • • You will be responsible for managing all facets of the customer lifecycle, from initial onboarding and implementation through ongoing engagement, support, and strategic expansion of their account.
  • • Proactively identifying potential challenges and opportunities for growth within each account is paramount. You will collaborate with both internal stakeholders and customers to devise and implement effective solutions that strengthen the partnership and drive mutual success.
  • • You will be expected to share key findings, market feedback, and emerging trends with internal teams to directly inform Column's broader growth strategy and product development efforts.
  • • Day-to-day activities will include performing tasks consistent with safe and sound business practices and adhering to all relevant regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
  • • This role reports directly to the Head of Go-To-Market, providing a clear line of sight to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
  • • While this is a remote-friendly company, this specific role requires you to work out of our San Francisco Presidio-based office three days a week, fostering in-person collaboration and team cohesion.
  • • Success in this role means not only managing existing relationships but actively contributing to the evolution of Column's customer engagement model, driving innovation, and solidifying our position as a leader in the FinTech infrastructure space.
