📋 Description

• Ship end-to-end growth features across onboarding, referral, invite flows, and market discovery systems, from initial specification through production deployment and measurement.
• Build and maintain core growth surfaces including leaderboards, referral code systems, invite mechanics, and social share functionalities that drive user acquisition and retention.
• Partner directly with marketing teams to translate ambiguous go-to-market (GTM) requests into clearly scoped, buildable engineering features, and push back when proposed ideas won’t move key metrics.
• Instrument every shipped feature with comprehensive event tracking and funnel analytics to ensure measurable impact and data-driven decision-making.
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B experiments with statistical rigor to determine whether features should be killed, iterated on, or scaled.
• Identify drop-off points in user acquisition and activation funnels using product data, then propose and prioritize the next set of growth experiments.
• Move quickly and make deliberate tradeoffs between speed and quality—ship scrappy MVPs when appropriate, but avoid technical shortcuts that create long-term debt.
• Own the entire lifecycle of growth initiatives without reliance on a product manager, including spec writing, development, testing, deployment, and performance evaluation.
• Work at the intersection of engineering and marketing to align technical execution with business goals, ensuring growth features directly contribute to user growth and platform engagement.
• Contribute to a product surface that directly affects user acquisition and retention on one of the fastest-growing crypto platforms, with immediate visibility into business impact.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure growth systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with platform-wide technical standards.
• Continuously optimize user flows to reduce friction in conversion paths, increase viral coefficients, and improve overall activation rates.
• Maintain awareness of industry best practices in consumer growth engineering, applying proven patterns to Polymarket’s unique prediction market context.
• Balance rapid iteration with sustainable code quality, ensuring growth features can evolve without requiring full rewrites as user volume scales.
• Use product data to inform hypothesis generation and validate assumptions, ensuring engineering efforts are focused on high-impact opportunities.
• Contribute to a culture of ownership, where engineers are trusted to make product decisions and are held accountable for outcomes.
• Work in a fast-paced environment where feedback loops between shipping and business impact are short, visible, and directly tied to platform growth metrics.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record shipping production growth features end-to-end, such as referrals, onboarding, virality loops, or similar, with minimal oversight.
• Strong full-stack skills to build independently across frontend and backend without waiting on other engineers.
• Comfortable working directly with marketing or GTM stakeholders, translating ambiguous requests into scoped engineering work.
• Fluency in experimentation, including A/B testing, event instrumentation, funnel analysis, and interpreting results correctly.
• Good product instincts—able to identify broken growth loops and propose effective next steps.
• Experience making deliberate speed versus quality tradeoffs, knowing when to ship scrappy and when to invest in technical debt reduction.
