- • Own the entire growth strategy for Reedsy Studio, the all-in-one writing and publishing app already used by tens of thousands of authors every day. Your north-star metric is monthly active users in the millions, and you will be the single point of accountability for hitting aggressive, data-driven growth targets.
- • Translate company-level OKRs into an actionable growth roadmap that balances quick-win experiments with long-term brand building. You will present this roadmap quarterly to Reedsy’s management and iterate based on feedback, market shifts, and performance data.
- • Unlock Reedsy’s existing 5-million-member ecosystem by designing and executing referral loops, viral in-product prompts, and ambassador programs that convert marketplace users into active Studio creators. Expect to run A/B tests on everything from email subject lines to in-app modals.
- • Build and scale a global affiliate and influencer network that spans YouTube writing coaches, TikTok BookTok creators, Substack newsletter authors, and podcasters. You will source partners, negotiate rev-share deals, create briefs, and track cohort performance down to LTV.
- • Forge strategic partnerships with writing software brands, literary magazines, MFA programs, and national writing associations to co-host webinars, bundle offerings, and cross-promote content. You’ll manage these relationships end-to-end, from first pitch to post-campaign retrospectives.
- • Collaborate daily with Reedsy’s in-house content team to ideate, script, and produce thumb-stopping short-form video, long-form tutorials, and interactive live streams. You will own the editorial calendar for Studio’s social channels and ensure every asset ladders up to a cohesive brand story.
- • Experiment fearlessly with unproven community growth tactics—think Discord writing sprints, AI-generated prompt challenges, or micro-grants for NaNoWriMo participants. You’ll set hypotheses, allocate micro-budgets, and kill or scale initiatives based on statistically significant results.
- • Instrument robust analytics across the funnel: acquisition source → activation rate → 7-day retention → paid conversion. You’ll build Looker dashboards, run SQL queries, and surface insights that inform product, content, and partnership decisions.
- • Champion the voice of the author inside Reedsy. You will host monthly user interviews, monitor community sentiment, and translate qualitative feedback into growth experiments that improve onboarding, feature adoption, and referral propensity.
- • Represent Reedsy at virtual and in-person writing conferences, pitch-fests, and retreat events. You will deliver keynotes, host workshops, and gather real-time market intelligence that keeps our growth strategy two steps ahead of the competition.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of proven growth or product-marketing experience in a fast-moving startup environment, ideally in SaaS, creator tools, or ed-tech.
- • Demonstrable knowledge of the craft of writing—through a published book, an active blog, an MFA, or equivalent lived experience.
- • Portfolio of branded content you have personally written: emails, social captions, landing pages, or video scripts that drove measurable engagement.
- • Hands-on experience creating and editing short-form mobile video (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) and a fluent grasp of each platform’s algorithmic levers.
- • Strong analytical skill set: ability to write SQL, design statistically valid experiments, and turn raw data into clear, actionable insights.
