Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Design and iterate on landing pages, onboarding flows, and key funnel touchpoints including paywall moments for pdf.net and related SaaS products.
  • • Own end-to-end design processes: map user journeys, write and refine copy, and ensure cohesive, polished experiences across all touchpoints.
  • • Translate vague business goals like "improve activation" or "increase paywall conversion" into testable hypotheses and rapid experiments that can be shipped quickly.
  • • Partner closely with the acquisition product manager and engineers to run fast build-launch-learn-iterate cycles with minimal bureaucracy.
  • • Use quantitative data from Amplitude, A/B tests, funnel drop-offs, CPA, and conversion metrics to prioritize experiments and measure impact.
  • • Create tailored design variations for different search intent clusters and marketing channels to optimize performance across diverse user segments.
  • • Maintain a high visual bar for UI craft: apply expertise in Figma components, auto-layout, typography, spacing, and interaction details to elevate design quality.
  • • Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams by documenting edge cases, defining UI states, and setting engineering up for efficient execution without sacrificing design integrity.
  • • Bring a practical "let’s ship it" mindset to strengthen design culture, prioritizing outcomes over perfection and velocity over process.
  • • Leverage AI tools (LLMs) for rapid research, ideation, and prototyping to accelerate design cycles, not for final polish in Figma.
  • • Continuously raise the visual and functional standard of all customer-facing surfaces as the product scales and user expectations evolve.
  • • Collaborate in a lightweight, async-friendly, remote-first environment with high autonomy and no micromanagement or crunch.
  • • Work in a data-rich environment where real user behavior directly informs design decisions and validates hypotheses within days, not weeks.
  • • Shape the entire first impression of products discovered through search, ensuring every landing page, onboarding step, and paywall moment reflects both strategic intent and premium design.
  • • Influence conversion, retention, and revenue directly through measurable design iterations that are tracked, tested, and optimized in real time.
  • • Contribute to a culture that values taste, restraint, and clarity—where simple interfaces feel premium through thoughtful detail, not complexity.
  • • Operate with a bias toward outcomes: connect every design decision to funnel metrics and business results, not just aesthetic preference.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Strong visual/UI craft with a high bar for layout, typography, spacing, and polish using Figma components and auto-layout
  • • Conversion mindset focused on post-launch performance, experimentation, and fast feedback loops
  • • Ability to own work end-to-end with high autonomy in a lightweight, async-friendly remote culture
  • • Solid product thinking: ability to zoom out on user journeys and zoom in on micro-decisions that impact conversion
  • • Clear writing and communication skills for copy, documentation, and cross-functional alignment
  • • Bias toward outcomes: connecting design decisions to funnel metrics and business results

🏖️ Benefits

  • • High ownership and direct impact on conversion and revenue with measurable results
  • • Remote-first, worldwide team with lightweight culture: no micromanagement, no crunch, fewer meetings
  • • Dedicated acquisition team (PM + engineers) enabling fast cycles without layers of approval
  • • Data-rich environment with fast feedback loops via Amplitude, A/B tests, and real user behavior
  • • Growth support: Variant Group covers learning expenses for courses, books, software, and conferences
  • • Unlimited PTO with a team that values sustainable pace and clear personal boundaries
