Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead end-to-end growth strategy for Dojo Islands, ClassDojo’s virtual world for kids, with ownership of the entire kid growth funnel: awareness, install, activation, and early retention.
- • Drive the cross-company roadmap to increase Monthly Active Kids, coordinating tightly with teams across the flagship ClassDojo app, school network, and Dojo Islands to align growth initiatives.
- • Manage a small, high-leverage product team focused on rapid iteration, shipping fast, and learning faster through data-driven experimentation.
- • Work directly with co-founders to define and execute long-term growth strategy for kid engagement, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
- • Own the top-line growth metric for kids — Monthly Active Kids — and translate it into measurable product initiatives that drive sustained user growth.
- • Design and analyze growth funnels using quantitative and qualitative data; build dashboards and write SQL queries independently to uncover insights without relying on dedicated analytics support.
- • Develop and test innovative growth loops including viral mechanics, referral systems, and in-product distribution channels to scale kid acquisition organically.
- • Apply deep understanding of gaming, gamified products, or kid-centric platforms to identify what drives engagement, retention, and fun for children aged 5–12.
- • Integrate AI into core product processes and personal workflow — using it to generate hypotheses, automate analysis, optimize user flows, and accelerate decision-making.
- • Operate with equal fluency at strategic and granular levels: set cross-functional priorities while also diving into user behavior data, A/B test results, and product metrics to validate assumptions.
- • Solve complex, ambiguous problems by breaking them into testable components, synthesizing data from multiple sources, and delivering clear, actionable roadmaps.
- • Collaborate with trust and safety, design, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure growth initiatives are safe, age-appropriate, and compliant with child-focused platform standards.
- • Balance rapid experimentation with ethical responsibility, ensuring all growth tactics prioritize child well-being, privacy, and positive developmental outcomes.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with ClassDojo’s existing network of 45M+ children and 95% of U.S. schools to leverage organic distribution channels for Dojo Islands adoption.
- • Continuously monitor and optimize the transition of users from the flagship ClassDojo app to Dojo Islands, maximizing activation and long-term retention.
- • Document and communicate growth learnings across the organization to institutionalize best practices and scale successful experiments.
- • Stay ahead of trends in children’s digital media, gamification, and edtech to inform product direction and maintain competitive advantage.
🎯 Requirements
- • Owned a top-line growth metric end-to-end (e.g., DAU/WAU, install conversion, retention) on a consumer product with measurable before/after impact
- • Proven experience shipping and scaling gaming, social, or gamified products for children or young audiences
- • Ability to write SQL queries, build dashboards, and analyze product funnels independently without dedicated data support
- • Experience operating at both strategic and tactical levels — setting cross-org roadmaps while diving into granular product details
- • AI is deeply integrated into your product process and daily workflow — not used as a side tool but as a core enabler
- • Structured problem-solver in ambiguity: breaks down complex problems, synthesizes quant/qual data, and delivers simple, actionable plans
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary range: $215,000–$250,000 USD for CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT; $183,000–$212,500 USD for all other U.S. states
- • Fully remote role with flexibility to work from anywhere, provided significant hours overlap with Americas time zones
- • Opportunity to work directly with co-founders on pioneering the future of education through technology
- • Work on a product used by over 45 million children across 180 countries with deep impact on global K-12 education
