- • The GTM Finance Manager at Fivetran plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Go-to-Market (GTM) organization, particularly supporting Marketing and Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives. This individual contributor role bridges finance, strategy, and execution to ensure financial insights directly influence resource allocation, performance measurement, and scalable customer acquisition strategies in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- • Partner with the head of PLG to support revenue forecasting, target tracking, investment modeling, and strategic planning for product-led initiatives, ensuring financial plans align with pipeline and revenue goals.
- • Work closely with the CMO to analyze marketing funnel performance, optimize program spend, and evaluate ROI across channels and campaigns, providing data-informed recommendations for marketing investment optimization.
- • Drive strategic headcount and capacity planning for the Business Development organization, aligning workforce planning with pipeline generation and revenue targets to support scalable growth.
- • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models that quantify tradeoffs and guide decision-making across GTM investments, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for marketing and sales initiatives.
- • Develop clear, concise insights and recommendations for senior leadership, including inputs for quarterly business reviews and board meetings, translating complex financial data into actionable business storytelling.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, Sales, and Product teams to ensure financial plans are integrated with operational priorities and business objectives.
- • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, including the CMO and head of PLG, by bringing deep expertise in GTM dynamics, financial modeling, and strategic finance to influence key business decisions.
- • Contribute to Fivetran’s mission of making data access as simple and reliable as electricity by ensuring financial rigor supports scalable, efficient, and predictable growth across the modern data stack.
- • Operate within Fivetran’s hybrid work model based in Oakland, CA, combining two days of in-office collaboration with remote flexibility to foster team connection and productivity.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or investment banking, with direct experience supporting GTM, marketing, or sales teams in a SaaS or technology environment.
- • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, marketing funnels, and Product-Led Growth (PLG) dynamics, including familiarity with CAC, LTV, payback period, and conversion rate optimization.
- • Proven ability to build and maintain complex financial models in Excel or similar tools, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to quantify tradeoffs and support strategic decisions.
- • Familiarity with tools such as Looker, Salesforce, HubSpot, or other marketing automation and CRM platforms to extract and analyze performance data.
- • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex financial and strategic concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- • Prior exposure to marketing mix modeling, attribution analysis, or campaign-level ROI frameworks to measure and optimize marketing effectiveness.
