- • As a Gulay-English Phone Interpreter at LanguageLine Solutions, you will play a vital role in breaking language and cultural barriers for limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing across critical sectors such as healthcare, government, emergency services, education, and business.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to on-demand interpreting sessions, accurately rendering meaning between Gulay and English speakers, maintaining professionalism and neutrality during emotionally charged or high-stress calls (including 911 and medical situations), and adhering to strict interpretation protocols without omissions or additions.
- • You will join a certified ASTM and ISO-compliant organization recognized as a Great Place to Work and a top employer for remote work, supported by Senior Language Specialists, interpreter help desks, and technology teams dedicated to your success.
- • This role offers the opportunity to develop advanced interpretation skills, gain exposure to diverse industries and cultural contexts, and pursue advancement within a nationally recognized language services leader while working from a secure, quiet home office.
🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Gulay and English with understanding of cultural dynamics
- • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive or stressful calls
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- • Access to a dedicated personal device (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, or Android) and high-speed internet (5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload)
