- • As a Hakka-Taiwan Interpreter at LanguageLine Solutions, you will provide essential language access services by facilitating communication between Hakka-Taiwan and English speakers across critical sectors such as healthcare, government, emergency services, education, and business.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to interpreting sessions, accurately rendering meaning between languages without omissions or additions, maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity, and handling emotionally charged or high-stress calls—including 911 and medical emergencies—while adhering to strict interpretation protocols.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Hakka-Taiwan and English, with strong cultural competency and the ability to assess regional and accent differences for effective communication.
- • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure high accuracy during interpretation, especially in complex or technical conversations.
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive calls involving topics such as end-of-life care, pregnancy termination, vaccinations, or gender identity, while maintaining composure under stress.
- • Must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- • Access to a dedicated personal device (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, or Android) and a high-speed internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, <300 ms ping, <30 ms jitter) in a quiet, distraction-free workspace.
